Description
The Turret one.oh is what happens when a trip to Walmart goes horribly, horribly… right. Killing some time checking out the local wares of our locally situated Walmart the three of us discovered something; There are a lot of parts for not a lot of money at Walmart. It was in the Airgun aisle where Chris pointed out to Randy that most Airsoft operate from a single electric motor attached to some gearing. Exactly the kinds of motors that were dead simple for some of Randy’s electronics to control.
THIS IS LIKE QUAKE TEAM FORTRESSSSSSS!!!

Walmart had almost everything needed with the exception of the computers and some mounting hardware. A stop in the home electronics department yielded the mini-tripod that eventually formed the legs of the turret. An impulse purchase at the check out gave us the laser pointer/flashlight combo that would be mounted under the barrel. The only other thing we need were some l-brackets and zipties for mounting the Airsoft to the tripod… Elegent was not a requirement.
A few motors, an Arduino, a Wii nunchuck, a tripod and an Airsoft gun are enough to make a Saturday fun, and just about anyone rightly nervous

About four hours later we had a turret ready for the house party we were due to attend later that evening! Huzzah!
